Why would you like to delete the folder "Simatic Shell" ?
It is essentiell for the correct working of WinCC.

The folder "Simatic Shell" is controlled by the Service "CCAgent.exe".
This Service is startet automatically with the start of the PC.
You can try to deavtivate this Service, if you would not use WinCC.

 What if he has uninstalled the software and he doesn't require the features you've mentioned?

You need to find the registry key that is related to that drive and delete it. In my case CCleaner worked instead of trying to find the registry key.

If the question is "How to delete Simatic Shell folder from the File (Windows) Explorer", than the previous post from viot is the answer!

So, this just removes the shortcut from the root ("This PC") of File (Windows) Explorer, but do not influence the functionality of the WinCC in any way!
