I am trying to assign an HMI variable to a faceplate that is called through a parent faceplate in a view.

What I have managed to do so far:

• Call a faceplate as a popup via another faceplate
• Assign HMI variables to the called faceplate using a script in a button on the parent faceplate, which references the name of the HMI variable to be passed

What I want / what I still need to do:

• Avoid duplicating faceplates and only create one faceplate, rather than creating a new faceplate for each variable to be passed.
  For this, I am looking for a solution via a script or another method to pass an HMI variable to the child faceplate.
  Small clarification: the variable to be passed is a UDT, so using a property interface is not possible.

To clarify what I'm trying to do: I want to link internal variables to HMI variables of a called faceplate. The issue is that I can't link them the usual way, like with a standard faceplate, because this one isn't placed directly on an HMI screen.

Additionally, since I want to create only one instance of the faceplate, I'd like to be able to modify the HMI variables being linked without having to edit the inside of either the calling faceplate or the one being called.
