Hello,

if I define parentScreenPath:

HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.OpenScreenInPopup(“EMCGeneral”, “EMCGeneral”, true, “where is Design Ricardo?”, 200, 300, false, “./Screen”);

I can no longer close the pop-up via script:

HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.ClosePopup(“/EMCGeneral”);

System can no longer find EMCGeneral. As soon as I keep parentScreenPath undefined, then no problem. What am I doing wrong?

 Have you tried with HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.ClosePopup("./EMCGeneral") ?? I believe that you have forgotten the dot of the path 😅

You should check this: ClosePopup

If you open a screen without parentScreenPath then it is opend in a global context.

If you use the parent ScreenPath then the Popup is a Screen window that is located in the screen context you define in the path.

If you use the ClosePopup you have to use the correct window path (you can use relative or absolute path syntax). Without knowing your screen hierarchie we cannot say whats the right path.

as I wrote without knowing your Screen hierarchy is is not possible to tell you the right path.

You can use an absolute Screen Path (~/) or a relative screenpath (../) for accessing screenitems and also popups

We need to know where the script is executed and which Screen windows you use in which hierarchy.

Only by looking at your script-> the ./Screen means that the popup should be in the same screen context as the script is execued (if its executed on a Button its in the same screen)

But it could also be that you have a screen named "Screen"... then I do not know what happens because the "Screen" is a system placeholder

Its not that complicated as it looks but without knowing all details i can only guess what could be the right path

I did a quick test:

Open the Popup:

HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.OpenScreenInPopup("popupp", "Screen_2", true, "Test", 200, 300, false, "./Screen");

close The Popup from a Button next to the one that opens the Popup:

HMIRuntime.UI.SysFct.ClosePopup("./popupp");

-->> As expected, the Popup Screenwindow is opend in the same screen context as the button for the call is located.

(Tested with V20 Upd1)
