Ramp-soak function for PID algorithm

MtnEngr Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Good evening. I have searched the FAQs and other threads but came up dry. I am in need of a ramp-soak function that can be used with the CONT_C PID controller for the S7. This would be similar to the one that's part of the 505 PID controller. I can develop one using SCL but if somebody else has already been down this road and is willing to share, I'm all over it. Thanks in advance.

hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 8/31/2025 Posts: 6874 Rating: (1368)	Hi Please check the modular PID control package for more details.Ramp_Soak works as a setpoint generator .The most important characterestic of this function is Ramp generation instead of step which may cause sudden jumpes in control loop.
