Hello mbm; To my knowledge the SIMPPI protocol is from Citect SCADA, and is a serial link to S7-200 PLCs. See the following Citect forum archive: http://www.citect.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-16033.html So you could not use this protocol to talk to a MM4 drive. Usually with DESIGO systems integrators tend to use SED2 drives, which are basically MM430s, modified with integrated HVAC function for ventilation control. They can communicate over Profibus, using the MM4 Profibus module; so you might be able to use the MM4with a S7 controller over Profibus; butI do not believe the PX controllers support Profibus-DP, mostly Bacnet, Lon, Konnex and other HVAC networks. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
