Wil Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hello, For development I am using WinCC flexible 2005 advanced + SP1. At the customer I use a pc configuration. Only WinCC flexible RT 2005 is installed. I am facing the folowing problem: After logging on three times with the wrong password I get the message: 'User X has unsuccessfully attempted to log on 3 times in succession. The user has been locked out and assigned to group 'Unauthorized'.' After loggin on with the correct password the user is still without rights because he is unauthorized. How can I solve this problem without travelling to the customer (12.000 km) and without a remote connection....... - Is there some kind of expire time on the password ? - Which file is using the user administration ? Can this file be exchanged by ... ? I know that export and import of users is possible, but that cannot solve my problem at the moment. I just want to reset and start over again. HELP Wil

Jeebs Posts: 218 Rating: (28)	Hey, There are a few ways to get the password back. You could restart the runtime. Or you could add a 'User View'. With this and the WinCC RT administrator account you can give the 'unauthorized user' back it's functionality. With the User view, you need to log on as admin and then select the defective user and place it back in the group it belongs. But as you asked to without remote connection or traveling to customer the temporary option would be to restart the RT. Just remember, each time on each account, after entering wrong password 3 times it gets blocked.

Thanks for the link, Wizard. I didn't make the connection about the last user name being displayed. So when someone is in a hurry to log on, they might overlook the fact that their user name is NOT displayed and when they enter their password... BAM! it locks the other user out. The main reason I am bothered by this is because someone in the plant could intentionally lock another user out. Siemens really needs to include a way to bypass this feature!!!

This account can unlock the admin account. Normal users get resetten after Runtime-restart, but the admin doesn't. In my case, using OP270, I need to re-transfer the project to 'un-lock' the Admin account. Atm I do not know of any other way to solve this problem. Greetz Jeebs
