add additional encoder to cu310 as setpoint reference via x23 port

prashob7 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	In one of my project, i have s120 cu310 pn along with pm340 and a 1ph7 motor with drive cliq interface a s7 1200 plc communicates with cu310 over profinet the initial configuration are made and everything is ok we took trials on no load via control panel of starter now in the application the setpoint for the drive is from and ttl type incremental encoder[ from another shaft] we tried to convert the pulse to voltage using f to v converter and then fed to plc and through profinet the setpoint is given to drive. but due to propogation delay and inaccuracy , we are not able to achieve speed synchronisation with the reference. I understand that the cu310 has got X23 port which is usable for encoder evaluation. now keeping the drive cliq port active for the motor reference feed back , can i connect an external encoder to this port and assign the value coming from the encoder as setpoint to the drive? i saw the detals of pin configuration from the funtion manual. Also i tried to configure the drive offline with an external encoder. but i got some error that " the topology cannot be wired" "insufficient connections available" i have attached the screenshot Please help me Attachment encoder as setpoint.JPG (292 Downloads)
