software cannot detect the address n type of drives

Simovert MC P2 6S... Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have a different situation, the original version is 3.2 and customer had Siemens to repair the board and now it is Ver 3.3. Another thing is that when go online software cannot detect the address n type of drives. In this any advise on how to go about? I am using DriveMonitor ver 5.3.2.2

Vithani Platinum Expert Joined: 7/8/2009 Last visit: 6/7/2025 Posts: 1977 Rating: (479)	Perfact solution is Update Drive Monitor to latest version But if you stuck some place where you dont have any source to update, then to get online with drive, create an Offline File for the drive with latest version you have. Then click on the online (Write EEProm) button, you will get error of Version mismatch but you will be able to be online with drive and also take back up of parameters. But you can not open that backup offline without updating your software Regards Devesh Vithani

I am a little concerned with upgrading the software, it not working and then being in the posion were the site cannot operate..... and with a very unhappy customer! has anyone any ideas how to best trasition from one software version to the next while allowing us to revert back to the old SW version if need be? What CU card do you currently have running (VC/MC) part number C/. What is the Firmware version of the running card D/. What is the Firmware version of the new card. If the machine is running and you don't want to upset your customer, then why do you want to upgrade/convert the card i.e. do you suspect the card has intermittent fault? In a lot of cases, it is better to downgrade new cards to the version the customer is already using UNLESS the card type has changed (i.e. CUx to CUVC) or it is a different class i.e. CU Performance variety (CUMC to CUPM for example) Please advise.
