WinCC Flexible Runtime and ALM under Windows XP Embedded

Guillem Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello I'm trying to use WinCC Flexible in a Windows Embedded Platform. I installed WinCC Flexible Runtime and it works well, but when I try to install the Automation License Manager it says that the ALM cannot be installed on Windows XP EMbedded. I know that it has to work because there are Panel PC's from siemens that are already preinstalled with WinCC flexible Runtime. I'm using WinCC Flexible Advanced 2005 + HF1, Automation License Manager V2.1 Runtime V1.1 Can the ALM be installed on Win XPe? Is there a Windows XP embedded version of the WinCC Runtime and ALM? Is there a public sld component file to add to my WinXPe Image that includes the runtime? Thanks Guillem

Guillem Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi I know that they're not tested but Siemens is selling Panel PC's with windows embedded and WinCC runtime included. someone made a component for Windows XP Embedded or has a WinCC Runtime special for Windows embedded. I Can run WinCC runtime on winXPe but I cannot install the licence manager. Windows XP Embedded is not a different operating system than Windows XP professional. It is the same but componentized. Does Siemens give the WinXPe component they made for their Panel pcs? do they have a special runtime for WinXPe? Thanks

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (172)	Hi ALM ís not released with embedded systems, you could have a try with transfering the license with ALM from PG to your Panel-PC, this works for the PC-RT as well. nemo
