mehar Posts: 91 Rating: (1)	Hello , We are commonly using HSD ES919 spindle motors with omron or hyundai drive . Now we are going to implement Siemens sinamics s120 combi drive. It contains 3 axis drive and 1 spindle drive. is it possible to control HSD spindle with combi spindle drive? if yes then what parameters or procedure i should follow? Thanks Mehar

pierre_g Posts: 67 Rating: (5)	Hello, Spindle speed is 24000 rpm ? Check maxi frequency 400/800/1600 Hz I change PWM to 8000 Hz on these spindle. Ask HSD for parameters for S120. Sometimes I use 611 parameters and in convert ohm to mH. With Starter I identify the spindle parameters and I adjust some off them current/speed gain time... Pierre

mehar Posts: 91 Rating: (1)	Hello perrie , thanks for the replay, yes spindle is 24000 rpm. max frequency is 800HZ. where we want to change the setting to change PWM to HZ? i have send them a mail to HSD.am waiting for there replay. whether you have any sample parameters. because i have search in S120 manual there is no option for setting base frequency. zako_ Gold Member Joined: 5/22/2012 Last visit: 3/24/2022 Posts: 895 Rating: (67)	sorry, I don`t know the combi drive, but in the list manual for the normal SINAMICS S120 SERVO there are the formula for calculation of the max. output speed - see parameter p1082. 800Hz would be possible with the standard settings - 125µs current controller cycle and 4kHz puls frequency. But that is the maximum and require a ALM for the infeed and encoder.Further you have to check / optimize the current controller by yourself. Better would be 62,5µs and 8kHz . See parameter p112 = HIGH and set p1800 = 8kHz. Please check the derating of your motormodule. For higher frequenciesthe new High frequency spindles drive would be an alternative; http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/61547382

mehar Posts: 91 Rating: (1)	Thanks for the support . have you any time tried to configure the high frequency(800HZ) spindle with sinamics S120 Drive (book size) . if yes can you please share the prameters. example : 20000 rpm spindle with 22KW power. so will go for6SL3120-1TE24-5AA3 (Single Motor Module in booksize format). spindle is third party manufacturer
