Hi all,

I am working on a project using a S110 servo drive and an S7-300 PLC (CPU 315-2DP).I am able to connect to my CU 305 DP via the PROFIBUS connected to my PLC and do a basic run of the motor through the control panel in STARTER. I can also program my PLC to do basic functions i.e. read I/P's turn on O/P's etc, the area that puzzles me is the PROFIBUS. I want to control my servo motor from the PLC via the PROFIBUS.

Can anyone advice me how I go about incorporating the servo drive into STEP-7 and how I can activate the drive from my main program. I only require being able to turn the motor on/off and vary the speed at 2 or 3 set speeds.

Attached is an image of the basic setup I have, I would appreciate if someone could help me out with a basic how to, I’ve been trying to get my head round this for a few days now and I imagine it must be simple to do but I’m at a loss.
