Dwonder Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello I have problem using HSC on PLC 1214C DC/DC/DC. I need to use HCS to count pulses from 2 phase magneticsensor. I have enabled HSC1 and settings of HSC are in attached file. The problem is, when frequency of input signal is lower than 50Hz counter works fine but when freqency rises counter stops working(around 100Hz). But I need HCS to count up to 10Khz input frequency. I tried to measure input signal with oscyloscope andinput signallooks fine. Does anyone now what is causing this problem? Thans for any help. David

Dwonder Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thanks for advice. This solved my problem. I thought that configuration for digital inputs is disabled when I enabled HSC and everything is configured in HCS configuration and that was wrong idea

I thought that configuration for digital inputs is disabled when I enabled HSC and everything is configured in HCS configuration and that was wrong idea I often think the same way since it makes sooooo much sense to think the physical input settings are disabled once it is configured for HSC. I am glad there are people who know the right answers!

I see your class friends (?) have asked questions too. My suggestion: Start a new thread and give the details of your problem and maybe give an example project for what you have done already. You are welcome to search these forum pages for more informations on how to use HSC. TIP: I have answered some with very detailed descriptions. ALSO the System Manual for the S7-1200 is a very good read. - - unluckily that is all I personally have time for now.. but I am sure others can help you too when you start a new thread. w
