bradziko Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi all, Simple question. I want to call PID Compact function as multi-instance but when I add PID_Compact instruction to the program, I cal only select "Single instance". Is it not possible in S7-1200 or am I missing something?

No "graphical" configuration, trending, tuning. The datatype "pid_compact" is unkown to the editor. Attachment pid-instance.png (397 Downloads)

The PID block appeared in the project tree below the program blocks in the Technology objects group. In there, the configuration and commissioning tools are available. No not add block, no not add TO, at least not in v14sp1 (but probably also not in v15) If you want multi-instance pid open an fb and add a static variable of type pid_compact. As said, you can't configure or trend the thing. Use single instance (TO) if you need that.
