    dose the Siemens have release this module into the market?

     i have a project using S7-1500  to do some motion control on a 3rd party servo driver using the   

     pulse train output. I used to using S7-1200 with the embedded PTO. but the program memory is

    limited, so i upgraded to the S7-1500. As i choose this cheap servo, how can i using the s7-1500

    to control the servo with PTO.

    I find the selection catalog about this technology module, but there is no user's manual on the

   Siemens website. so I wonder is this module ready for using?

May I ask you a question. Have you already used such module?

I can not understand, is it possible to use such module for position control of step-motor drives via TO PositioningAxis? I mean any motors without position feedback signal into PLC (for example without encoder atall).

There was written "The number of steps that are output is returned as the actual position value."

What does it mean?

Hello Eugen;

Each pulse sent to the stepper motor moves it one step (forward or reverse. depending on the controller settings).

So each pulse must be counted if you want to know how many steps the motor has travelled. This number of pulse (corresponding to an equal number of steps) is the value that is returned by the TM functions.
