Hello. The analog motion control works well for an AC drive controlled by the S7-1200. Very short MP4 attached. What I used was a generic drive + motor and standard S7-1200. The positions can be set according to requirements and settling accuracy is within 0.5mm. It is not perfect on the system we used, but it is good enough for the task at hand. Hello, you could use the Technology Objects (TO) of S7-1500 (PositioningAxis) to control the motion. Maybe connect TO not to a real drive but to a DataBlock (DB) and use OB "MC-PreServo" to arrange telegram from encoder for TO and OB "MC-PostServo" to arrange telegram from TO to drive... Or if the drive uses PROFIdrive for communication, you could connect the TO directly to the telegram of the drive.
