Sinamics is still in Delivery phase so it will be a long time for phase out so dont worry for spares about it.. Simovert is in Phase Out and Spares for Simovert will be available till 2020. So as per your Post, you need system for which spare should be available for 25 Years which is not case of Simovert so I sugeest you to go for Sinamics.. I hope now it is clear to you.. Here are you the number and as i told this line only passes e years this means if we buy new machine we have to ask them to fed us with Sinamics Drives or what? and as i know when we buy new machine we write condition the spare parts of this line should be availabe for at least 25 years not only 2years then you tell me it is become obsolete or phase out state. Regards, My point of view is everything depends of your finansial situation for the moment. In most of the cases all masines are ready for delivery, including spare parts for them, software, commissioning specialists...If you want there to change something this for sure will leads to delays and much money. So, if you will receive a spare parts there also, buy directly. Eventually later (after 5years) if you have money, make upgrade to the Sinamics...Perhaps until that time, Siemens will released new family drives...better then Sinamics... best regards, Hristo Mihalev

In most of the cases all masines are ready for delivery, including spare parts for them, software, commissioning specialists...If you want there to change something this for sure will leads to delays and much money. So, if you will receive a spare parts there also, buy directly. Eventually later (after 5years) if you have money, make upgrade to the Sinamics... As I said already.. Vithani So for new system, go for Sinamics and for Older ones, upgrade them whenever its possible UMENCHO Perhaps until that time, Siemens will released new family drives...better then Sinamics.... Well I dont think so.. atleast not within 5 years because they have just replaced Masterdrive with Sinamics and upgrade of Sinamics will be tough for Siemens.. May be after 20 years.. Devesh

Also see following http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/44011534 This means its marketing will be ceasedfrom Oct 2011 and product will becompletely discontinued in 2020 and till then Spares will be available... That means After 2020, No spares or Product supportwill be available from Siemens Regards, Devesh

diwa Silver Member Joined: 9/20/2006 Last visit: 8/1/2025 Posts: 307 Rating: (97)	the information about the "phase out" provided by all are perfect. but i would like to give a suggestion that when a product goes into this phase the price starts going up and theavailability becomes a problem. i would suggest users to start planning for replacing thr drives with the new product.
