What I've got in the field is (2) stand alone PLCs.  I need to interface them with a 3rd PLC via a fiber link 5 miles away.  PLC #3 will have IO that goes to/from both PLC1 and PLC2, which have to be Masters because they have a program on them. 

I need the #3 to be a slave to both #1 and #2.  Unfortunately, the #1 & #2 are installed 0BA7's. What I'm going to have to do is add a 0BA7 for each PLC - (2) #3 PLCs. 

I was thinking I might try and use PLC #1 as a master, make #2 a slave with all the IO networked and keep #3 as a slave.  I don't really want to do this because I'm worried about latency.  There cannot be a delay between an input and the resulting action, for most inputs anyways.

I don't know how the VMs work, I'll look and see if I can figure out.

Right now, there are (2) seperate 0BA7s running in the field.  There is a control panel near them, and another control panel far away from them.  The near control panel (no PLC) interfaces to both PLCs with discrete wiring, no network necessary.   The far control panel (no plc) is too far for discrete wiring.

To use the far control panel and the 2 PLCs, I need a PLC in the far control panel in order to network them together.  I wired (on paper) the far control panel to the NEW PLC (inputs and output to/from both PLCs) and planned to use that single PLC to interface with the other PLCs (8I, 6O).  I set up the network IO in the main program (same on both PLCs) to get inputs and send outputs to the same IP address, using a softkey to select between PLC 1 and PLC 2.

I hit a wall when I could only set 1 IP address in the new plc. 

The existing 2 PLCs running the main program are 0BA7.  I was going to use an 0BA8 for the new PLC, but it will have to be an 0BA7, and will need 2 of them apparently,  unless there's a way to set up the new PLC as master or something (3 masters).  maybe I can do that with all 0BA8s?

I am trying to add the network stuff to my existing program (.lld).  I am not getting the same configuration screens for the NI and NQ blocks that I get in yours.  Does this have anything to do with your being .lsc? 

Im really struggling with the network setup too...

 Can I do it with LLD?

What if I use all 0BA8?  I should be able to do it like you did in your sample "Test_2_Master_1_Slave_0BA8" yes?

ok, that is unfortunate.  What I'm going to do then is keep the 0BA7's, and just give each one a slave.  I had that working on my desk.  It will just cost more and be less efficient.
