We need to modify and use this signal to go to 2 devices( existing analog input module and inverter) How can perform this modification? Thank you in advance.

Grixo Experienced Member Joined: 1/18/2019 Last visit: 3/11/2025 Posts: 82 Rating: (3)	with my point of view you have several option: 1. if you have spare AO and you know how to do it you PLC 2. firstly connect AI to VFD and from VFD AO connect to PLC 3. as guys recommended use amplifier. Also I have a doubt: " I/P analog module for 2 wire transmitter 4-20mA" passive module "O/P analog module 4-20mA or 0-10V" active module No problem with these collections when use L and T? L PIWxx T PQWyy Grixo yes U can directly transfer, but important is to put that line in correct position in PLC software.

Using L PIWxx (Load AI address xx) or T PQWxx (Transfer AO address xx) is used within the software to move the registers. It doesn't care if your device is 4-20 mA or 0-10 V. In case of 4-20 mA analog signals, For 4 mA, the value in PIW or PQW is: 0 For 20mA, the value in PIW or PQW is: 27648 In case of 4-20 mA analog signals, For 0V, the value in PIW or PQW is: 0 For 10V, the value in PIW or PQW is: 27648 ___________ And for 2nd question, if the available AO is 0-10 V, you CAN NOT convert to 4-20 mA by using 500 Ohm resistance. If you have 4-20 mA. then in this case by connecting 500 Ohm in parallel, it will generate voltage drop varies between 1-10 V. Correction 2-10 V Thanks to ixo65 So, you can convert mA to Voltage using the 500 Ohm resistance but it doesn't work in case you need to convert voltage to mA. Hope this helps. Answer: L & T Statement instructions doesn't depends on the type of analog I/O. these instructions are not only related to analog signals. It just transfers the register from one location into another location regardless if it is a physical input or DB register. 2- 4mA.........27648/5= 5530 ? true or false Answer: False.
