I am having an issue with a weld cell. After having to put the backup PLC program in (CPU 317-F 2-DP), every time the operator goes in and out of the light curtain, I am getting a fault on one of the profisafe input modules. The fault is "F-I/O input channel passivated".

This requires the operator to hit the reset button every time they come out of the light curtain. I am looking through backups/other cells trying to figure out the issue. I think it's something to do with the ACK_REI signal? I can see where this is being set by the reset button, similar to the other cells. The other cells will also reset this automatically, which I can't figure out how to make this happen.

Where should I be looking? I have double checked hardware config, safety programs. Need some help if anyone has any ideas.

When this issue happens, check diagnostic information of cpu and passivated f_io modules.

This may help you findout the cause.

Ack_rei is to reintegrate passivated modules after the cause cleared.
