This is available only for S7-400 (and maybe S7-319).

If you need constant cycle interval, use a timed interrupt for your logic (OB3x).

If you need hard real-time, best is to use isochronous IOs and an isochronous interrupt (OB61).

for desired cycle you can make your own cycle depend on CPU scan cycle time.

A fixed time is for me difficult maybe impossible because the time is depending on the CPU load, on the program length and communication load too.

For exemple inside the program you can execute a loop that wasn't executed in the previous cycle and this execution will increase the cycle time then in my view it's difficult to work with a fixed time.

As it's quite impossible to forecast  process event's it's difficult to work with a fixed Cycle time.

However it's possible to set a maximum cycle time or watch dog timer or other but for me it's impossible to work with the same cycle time at each cycle.

This is just my view, .
