Hi experts,

I need to find an alternative solution to connect temposonics magnetostrictive position sensor (L-series start-stop interface temposonics-LH measuring length 50-3000mm) to S7-300 system. Attached here's the interface specification. Presently the sensor is connected to a special purpose device(controller) which has a PROFIBUS interface to S7-300 system. It would be much appreciated if someone can suggest an FM/interface module that works directly with this sensor bypassing the said device(controller). Wondering if SM338 is a possibility

I think you can use Balluff products for this type of connections. Here a link to their website.

I used this modules a while ago. They are basically remote I/O's and can also be integrated in Profibus if that is the case.
