The physical unit you show on the screenshot provided is a SM 332, Analog Output 4 x 12 bit. You are inquiring about a SM 331 (1KF02), an analog input module. Where is the mistake, in the request or in the screenshot?

One way to find information on the module's SF LED lighting up is to open the diagnostic buffer, where all fault signals detected by the CPU will cause a message to be logged.

You can always open the diagnostic buffer of the CPU to find what is logged there for the Analog input fault..

If you program with Simatic Manager (Step 7 v5.x) you can also open the local diagnostic buffer of the module itself. To do so, open HWConfig and go Online (press the "glasses icon"). This will show all faulted modules with a distinctive fault sign, a red slash covering them. Double-click on the faulty module (or CPU) will  open the local diagnostic buffer that could inform you of the problem.

Could you give us the make and model of your loop current adjuster (we would say "calibrator") so we can see the way it is intended to be connected to an analog input set for current readings. If you look at the Siemens wiring diagrams in the screenshot you show you will see that the AI expects only 2 wires to be connected, either for 2-wire or for 4-wire connections; loop connections correspond to the 2-wire connection diagram in your screenshot. You are attempting to connect 3 wires, so we need to see how the current loop calibrator wants to connect...

Look for example of this wiring diagram for an Omega CL309A loop calibrator, with current loop 2-wire connections (meaning that it expects ppower from the Analog input card).
