the S7-318 was a kind of special PLC of the S7-300 series. The structure of the CPU(with 4 accus) is more like a S7-400 PLC. So it depends on what the programm does and how it is programmed, it it works with the S7-319F-PLC or with a S7-400 system.

Are you aware that you choose a failsafe PLC (S7-319F)?

For this kind of controller you need an extra SW to get it run.

Your Old CPU is 318-2DP.

Your new suggested CPU is 318-3F "Fail Safe Type". So it seems that you will use fail safe CPU in standard mode. If this is the case, you won't need any addon package.

TAnd as friends told you here that CPU 318 is a very special CPU with 4 ACCU. So, to choose an optimum successor, you have to use the CPU 318 Migration Check tool. You will upload the software to it and it will check for you to tell if the optimum successor is CPU 317 or 319. for more info, please read the following FAQ:
