JoeyD Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello there, My devices are as follows: S7-300 > CPU 315-2DP (6ES7 315-3Fx-0AB0) PROFIBUS CP342-5 (3425DA02-0XE0) ASi CP343-2 (343-2AH00-0XA0) MEMORY CARD MC951/128KB/5V FLASH (6ES7951-0KG00-0AA0) PC > CP5613 DP BASE (6GK1561-3AA00) SOFTWARE ARE: SIMATIC NET INDUSTRIAL COMMUNICATION PC/WINDOWS 05/2000 S79220-A5406-F000-01 COMPROFIBUS V3.3 COML7 V2.12 OPC SERVER SETTING PG/PC WINCC V5.1 S79220-A6045-F000-01 Our problem now is after we replaced the dead backup battery, we ca no longer establish a connection between PC WinCC CP5613 and S7-300 MPI. we have done memory reset but no luck. LED status on CP342-5 are SF > RED, STOP > AMBER. Error log report on WinCC says "Cannot connect to API_AMX30" error code "0xFFDF_411C, 0x0000_7000. Please give us clear, straight forward step by step procedureusing COMPROFIBUS V3.3 OR COMLS7 V 2.12 software toolson how to create and downloadconfiguration file. As you can see we dont have STEP7 nor NCM S7. Attached please find block diagram. Your kind support will be highly appreciated. The CPU seems not to be loaded with the correct HWconfig and the connections required by the CP. And without STEP7 it will not be possible to run the system as it did before. You need to reload the original project in the system. I hope that you have a backup.

Basically in working properly project, before to make (add) some exra features is helpfull to prepare first backup of project. Let's say allways is necessary to keep (to have) last working version of project like backup. Regards, Hristo Mihalev

JoeyD Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	hi Umencho I found our backup CD for that particular setuphowever Im not sure which file is the Hardware Config or User Program. see attached screenshot for directory content of the CD. According to STEP7 you can save a backup of these files in text format or db format but when I usetext editor like NotePad or Excel to view these files, I dont see any meaningful data. The file ext is not standard like .txt for text or .dbf for database. Its not worth buying STEP7 if I will notfindthe User and Config files. Question: What program can I use to open these files to verify if these are the one Im looking for? Can you send me a sample screenshotof Config Hardwareand User Program file. You found CD, but you don't know with what kind informations has inside. From attachment, seems there has Step7 project. But the question is - Is this version is the right, even is this version is the last one? Unfortunately nobady could answer of this question, exept guy that prepared the CD. What you can do? In the way you started to open the folder by folder and file after file, I am afraid you could understand almost nothing. You need Step7. Or attach here one of this folder(00204...) About is it possible to understand all this folders inside look at SIMATIC MANAGER PROJECTthread. In attachment you can see how looks all the things in Step7. When you want to make a backup of your working project using step 7 Simatic Manager, You use the Archiving and you have the option to select what type of compress file you want i.e. *.arj. Please let me know what are the lists of option in the type of files (Archiving files format) available in this opration (bacause I dont have Step7) for me tocrosscheck if the files we have in our CDare really a backup copy. see attached. thanks joey Attachment archiving project.JPG (384 Downloads)

Into Simatic Manager - Options - Customize, go in Archiving Tab is possible to select and configuring preffered archiving program. Look at attachment, what kind of folders content in Step7 project. And you could compare with folders content in CD. And probably you should have non archiving folder with original project together with archive version ade from last upload' version of CPU program.
