CPU 315 connection with SEW servo controller

I will be using a CPU 315-2DP and FM 352 for Cam positioning....FM 352 will be connected to incremental encoder located at the shaft of a motor...2 SEW servo drives controller will be used for a depositing function(cam buffer)..The 2 SEW servo controller will be connected to by profibus to the CPU...ALL parameters for the cam will be on the HMI ( MP270) Is this set up possible?????????? Any suggestion ( By the way im converting a Depositing Machine to a servo controled)

And according to the readings, you are controlling two other servo motors? Am I right. And I think you will control them using electronic CAM technique. What kind of parameters you will need to be parameterized from the HMI? And Is these needed parameters, could be read/writeen from profibus or you should use a software from SEW and special converter for this purpose? To answer this question, you have to see the gsd file of the SEW driver. And also you have to look on the datasheet or the catalog of SEW. or upload it here and I will help you. Regards,

ivan_euler Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	Sir thats right .... using the FM 352 and the readings from the incremental encoder i will control the 2 servo drives using the cam technique..... I have attached the sample program for extended positoning using SEW via profibus Attachment S7_sample_project_ext_positioning.zip (605 Downloads)
