I would like to know if there is any software availble that can help in calculating power consumption /heat dissapationfor the S7-300and S7-400 Automation Systems.

I can do it manually but it can take alot of time for complex arrangements

Hello Mudasar,

I don't know for what issue you want to know heat dissipation.
If you need it to give your customer such details then I think you will have to obtain heat dissipation or power loss figures for each component but normally they don't represent much heat dissipation.
If you need to calculate heat dissipation to figure out the cooling capacity you need in your cabinet, then you can use this software by Rittal.
I've used an old version of this software about one year ago and it didn't have more than Siemens power supplies and siemens drives.
It didn't have datafor CPUs or modules but it has sufficient data for power supplies, drives and circuit breakers.
I hope you can find more components in their new version.
