Lalaboem Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have trouble while simulating a Step 7 program. I took over my MicroWin code into SIMATIC so I could use the S7-PLCSIM. It took me a day to take it over with some modifications due to a little different syntax. Now my problem is that I can't simulate the program. When I try to run the program in the simulator the status bar of the OB1 screen shows stop after a run of les then half a second. I should have simulated it while programming but now i have a code of almost 40 Networks and I can't locate the cause of the failure. I am a student who makes this as a school project for a company so I found some stupid mistakes by myself. Now my question is what are the most common mistakes made by new PLC programmers causing the simulator to fail working? Thank you for your help! Yannis

I suggest you to check what is the possibilities of this simulator in S7-PLCSIM manual and see how to work with PLCSIM. In other way attach here your program and maybe .... regards

Then see what causes your program to stop. Hello, I worked on my program while leaving the function blocks that cause the failure out. And now I wanted to test it with the diagnostics buffer to find the exact cause of the problem. So I put the function back in and suddenly it works... :) I really have no clue why it didn't work first and now it does. Thank you for your help, I didn't know about the diagnostics buffer so next time I will use that one first before posting a toppic. Greets

Pfff The problem is in the FC block because when i try to simulate the program in the fc it still doesn't work. I wrote a testprogram where I control an output bij only 1 input and it doesn't work. I am gonna write the program without function blocks so I don't lose too much time with this project.. Thanks anyway for your help Greets
