Hello Experts I use in my project cpu 410-5H and ET 200 SP HA I have a lot of analog input with two type, 2-wire passive(loop power) and 4-wire Active. I have two cards to choose 1- Analog Input Module AI 16xI 2-wire HART HA ( 6DL1134-6TH00-0PH1) 2- AI 4xI 2-/4-wire HART ISOL HA (6DL1134-6UD00-0PK0) I want to order for analog input module but I have several contradictions in mnaual siemens. About Analog Input Module AI 16xI 2-wire HART HA ( 6DL1134-6TH00-0PH1): 1- In the manual of module 16xI 2-wire HART HA ( 6DL1134-6TH00-0PH1) has a wiring about the 4-wire transmitter(Attachment1) but I am not sure the module supports transmitter 4-wires Active! because there is no sign of 4-wires in description module or in the card parameter settings. 2- Do 2-wire mean the same 2-wire passive(loop power)? 3- And finally, can I use this module considering the two types analog input 2-wire passive (loop power) and 4-wire Active? About AI 4xI 2-/4-wire HART ISOL HA (6DL1134-6UD00-0PK0) 1- In the manual of module About AI 4xI 2-/4-wire HART ISOL HA (6DL1134-6UD00-0PK0) has wiring about 4-wire sensor connection (passive power supply interface)! What does 4 wire and passive power supply mean? best regards Sadegh saadatmand ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

hello G_R_E_Y_31 You said There's no 4-wire AI module in ET200SPHA family! Was there a reason why you did not choose this order 6DL1134-6UD00-0PK0? best regard Sadegh saadatmand |

It's a not a yes or a no answer. It's a "it depends" answer, which you're dreading hoping I wouldn't pop up spew on again about common mode problems. The manual for the module is here: Page 11 shows both a passive 2-wire connection and an active 4-wire connection. |
