In a simple program we have an addresses: PIW300,PQW400

How can we know if these addresses concern analog address''byte X and byte X+1'' or concern a certain word address''digital": 300.0.........301.7                         

400.0.........401.7

Looking simply at the addressing will not be helpful, unless the bits (like: I300.0 to I301.7) are used elsewhere in the program. 

Then remains analysis of the program itself which is a painstaking process. The trouble is that the cross reference would probably show a load or move function. But the value could be prepared for calculation or written to a memory where the bits can be reached.

You can check the Addresses of your DI DQ AI & AQ from HW Configuration , and if you suspect specific memory or bit use Refrence Data  and check the addresses used in detail in your program
