I have some tips:

• Make a readback of the PLC's so the "offline" project receives all latest OCM attributes. If a problem occurs, you could lose parameters and settings
• Make sure the batteries of the CPU are "fresh" so the program data is not deleted when the batteries are empty. Note: For a CPU 410-5H with firmware >=V8.2, the load memory is stored in a non-volatile memory area of the CPU which means the downloaded program and configuration does not depend on buffering by battery.
• If power outage is too long, make sure you have a UPS or something else to power the CPU during the outage.
• Shut down PCS7 stations like OS server, clients properly
• Make sure you take printscreens of the NetPro (S7 connection data) and hardware configuration and PLC diagnostics. This will speed up the restart of the plant because existing problems are not seen as new problem
• Startup the plant in a specific order. First OS servers, then OS clients and then CPU's so the operator sees directly what is happening with the plant
• Make sure the PLC's execute a warm restart (only mode released for PCS7). Other modes like Cold, Hot are not permitted and sometimes is forgotten to check
