Hi All,

I'm looking for some help or advice. We have a Siemens PG running Windows XP. If I open a project in Simatic Manager I can add devices (HART or Profibus) and Lifelist (V6.1) then opens and allows me to set the parameters of the device. I can upload/download with no issue.

However if I open up Lifelist direct, it scans and detects any connected devices but if I click to open the object I get a loading hour glass and then nothing. Checking in Task Manager I can see that when trying to open an object a Task process is started but no configuration box opens.

I've tried a clean install of PDM V6.1 but still have the same issue. Has anybody ever encountered this before?

There might two reasons for occurring the problem.

1. Windows update

2. Windows OS

The requirement for PDM V6.1 is 

• Windows XP Professional SP3 (Ge/En/multilingual)

First, Try by installing windows.

If your not succeeded the try with XP SP3
