840c - after the motor changing with the different motor type, the actual rotation is not same.

Our original motor speed was 4.500rpm and new is 3.000rpm. We selected the new motor and installed it. But when we turn the motor with 1.500 rpm in mdi mode, the actual speed is 1.000rpm. What is the reason of 1.5 times differences between target and actual value? regards,

ozturkm Advanced Member Joined: 5/3/2013 Last visit: 9/12/2025 Posts: 57 Rating: (0)	I attached a photo. The machine is auto mode and our target value is 2.000rpm but actual value is 1.333rpm. So there is 1.5 times differences between target and actual. Also when we choose this spindle and turn it with manual over OP, same things happens. We compare it other spindle with same situation and its target and actual is same but new has 1.5 times differences. I attached these two photos. One is Spindle3 and its target and actual values are same 10rpm. But our new changed motor "spindle2" has 1.5 times differences, target is 10rpm but actual is 6,66rpm.

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 9/12/2025 Posts: 4449 Rating: (400)	answer my question, your drive is 611A (or 3rd party drive) or 611D, if Siemens drive 611D, send picture of spindle drive ( I want to see how many encoder feedback ) another thing you should aware---your spindle has gear? spindle speeed feed back from motor encoder or ? do you have any way to measure (hand held RMP meter) spindle speed and spindle motor speed. Do worry about 840C display when you are not sure

The old original motor defected and we changed it a new one and new motor rotation is 3.000 rpm and old original was 4.500. I will check the real rotation with manual rpm device.
