X axis vibration issue.

Uthay Posts: 47 Rating: (0)	Hi, How to correct the X axis vibration, Please find the attached trace for X axis encoder readings Ballscrew, X axis distance code reader, X axis LT module & X axis motor replaced but this axis vibration not solved, We are facing part hole ovality issue due to this vibration, Please support. Pee El Sea Gold Member Joined: 1/19/2008 Last visit: 9/3/2025 Posts: 998 Rating: (65)	Hi, I usually start by dropping the drive proportional gain and sometimes switch out the integral gain completely to slow things down to see what triggers problem. If the machine is highly tuned the I would retune (optimise) the drive again before changing anything else. I think I would also switch out the linear scale and run off the motor encoder to elimiate one of the feedbacks. You don't say which control system you are using. Also check basics like earthing and connections. Pee

This is 5 axis milling machine 840D power line system X axis dual encoder system Position measuring system 1 is motor encoder Position measuring system 2 is distance code reader (linear scale) (DB31.DBX1.5 is active) My attachement servo traceis position measuring system 1

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello,,, Small suggestion here..most of the time linear scale header is not clean and full of oil dirt then you have the vibration issue. try checking your linear scale... most of the time problem solves here or disconnect the scale and try running with motor encoder and check. Finally found spindle vibration is high that time only X axis vibration, now reduced the spindle speed after that everything is ok. Thanks, Uthay.
