HSP update error on Step7 V5.6

bir31030 Member Joined: 5/11/2017 Last visit: 3/3/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I have installed Step7 V5.6+SP2+HF9 on a Windows 7 OS. From the last HSP (step7_hsps_202212.zip) is not possible to install some of the package (see attached picture). In particular I need the package 0242 for ET200SP. If I try same HSP in a step 7 V5.5+SP4 works without any issue. Any solution or workaround?? I need GSD for 6ES7 155-6BU01-0CN0 and is contained in HSP 0242. I can handle on V5.5 but not in V5.6... bir31030 Member Joined: 5/11/2017 Last visit: 3/3/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I've checked, the error is: File C:\HWUpdates\s7h0242x.hsps has no valid Siemens certificate I've try to reinstall V5.6SP2 on a new Windows 10 machine and problem seems solved. Same HSP package will be installed without any issue. Maybe is because I update the Step7 installation more times in my previous machine. Thanks for help!

I got the certificates updated on the exact same step 7 and windows version as stated here. Then i got the newest HSP file updated. In the appendix I included a small manual and a updated certificate file as of 21-2-2024. The update file that makes you able to update the certificates manually in windows 7 are provided in the manual. Hope it helps someone. Attachment HW update problem step 7.zip (856 Downloads)
