banconi Silver Member Joined: 3/19/2010 Last visit: 6/15/2025 Posts: 439 Rating: (12)	Hi, I need to connect 0-10V pressure sensor to AI of the freq drive, but I also want that sensor to get supplied from drive with 24VDC. The problem is that drive has 24VDC only for digital input contacts, and 10V out for potentiometer (for AI). These to voltages don't have common ground, so there is no ordinary way to combine +24V for DI's (which is OK to supply sensor), and 0V for the common referent input of AI. People, do you have any suggestions for me? Best regards,

The thing is, when I do connect them, that when the sensor is giving me nothing (0 Pa that should be 0V), i have some "parasite" 0.795 volts on AI. This is coming from internal electronics, in the other words from the input circuit of the drive.

Jeff Casagrande Posts: 1529 Rating: (203)	If the analog inputs are like the ones for the G120C, then they go to differential amplifier. If the common is tied to the same one as the source, then it is not possible to have an offset. Even if there is, there should be a scaling block where you can compensate for any offsets or line losses. Look at the List Manual for your particular CU.
