AG_SEND & AG_RECV PROBLEM.

AutoGen_7966148 Member Joined: 10/27/2021 Last visit: 3/11/2025 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hi. so i got two PLC(Mark plc and Crane243 PLC), and i have build a watchdog. as it was before, we have no ide if it has lose all its power. so ill need to communication between the plc so my watchdog works. i have used this to get the communication work. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/17853532 But something is wrong and i cant get it to work anyone has any ide? if i understand it right u will need a fc and the DB in both the Mark plc and Crane243 plc. Look as example, from your posts is absolutelly not clear what exactly comm interfaces you want use, what PLC CPUs, how much data and what actual your HWs looks like..

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 9/2/2025 Posts: 3049 Rating: (1062)	The screendump is hard to read but it seems you configured an S7 connection and then use (try to) use AG_SEND/AG_RECV. This will not work and you need to either change you connection to ISO-on-TCP (or TCP or UDP or ISO) as per example that you followed OR use BSEND/BRCV if you want to stick with an S7 connection. For reference and anything you ever (or never) wanted to know about communication within the Siemens PLC world, grab a copy of the CPU-CPU communication with Simatic Controllers
