A very good question. Unfortunately, for now, the documentation available on the Modbus TCP support is very limited. I'm hoping a new version of Siemens document CA2Y9772 is made available soon that incorporates the TCP information.

I would assume that if TCP Master support is available, then TCP Slave support is also provided. Unless there are further replies to this thread by others, it would be best for you to speak to your local Siemens people.

You may know all of this already but, in general - to get a PXC001.E.D to operate as a Modbus Slave, there are some things to note:

• The PX controller slave address needs to be set in the COMBLK (ComInfo3 pin).
• For any I/Os you have - the address syntax needs to start with 'M=0('. Rather than define a Slave address, you simply set this to 0, and the remaining syntax stays as normal.
• You need to add a BO, and address it as D=54. Set the EnPgm to Yes, and the ValPgm pin to On.
• To allow commanding of points from a master - the FbAddr addresses of any BO/AO/MO need to be defined the same as the IoAddr pin. The FbVal pin then gets linked to the ValPgm pin (ensuring the EnPgm pin is set to Yes).
