I had a connection with router  between s7-1200 and Wincc RT Advanced  .
Now I want to add another s7-1200. Can I use same router to connect Wincc or should I add another router?

in WinCC Advanced you only set the connections and the access Point. All other things are network communication.

you know, the term Router is very general to understand more of your exact cfg of this device. It is clear and expected that Router generally allows more cfg options and also ways of ports cfg, in this case is simply hard to recommend something. No one here know how is your <router> configured.

Look, I have a router that's connected to the internet and has a static IP address. My SCADA system is located far away, and it connects to the Siemens PLC through the internet using that same static IP.

In the SCADA system configuration, that same static IP address is used. Now, if I want to add a new PLC, I would still have to use the same static IP of the router, but it will end up connecting to the first PLC again.

To access the PLC from WinCC RT you need to use the IP address of the PLC not of the router.

the router should only have an IP address in each side of the network segments. In the PLC and the HMi System you have to set the router/gateway address in the IP configuration.

could you get examples how the IP settings are in PLC, HMI and in the HMI connection?
