WinCC 7.5 introduced interface tags in faceplates and this is a great function because it permits to simplify the use of structured tags.

In VBS it's possible to read properties (even custom properties) of faceplates using syntax item.propertyname; I would like to do the same with interface tag but I still can't find the way.

ok I understood I was asking for the wrong question; in fact if I use syntax item.myTag I can get the value in "static" field of "User-defined tags" (obviously it's always 0); what I wanted to get is the name of the tag that I put in "dynamic" field

looking for this subject I found out that exists a C fuction called "GetLinkedVariable", that does exactly what I want, but there is no corresponding function in VBS

Just create empty property in faceplate configuration.

I use this to pass the tag name (string) to the VBA script.
