I am working on a project using a Unified Comfort HMI where the customer has requested a form of user diary that they can use to log when users start up the system and what the reason is. For this, it seems clear to me how to proceed as I can access date/time, current logged in user and provide a drop-down list of reasons for starting up the system. However, they've also requested functionality to be able to log anomalies with the system. This would require the user to be able to enter into a free text field a description of what they observed. I would like to have this as a pop-up and then when the user clicks ‘submit’ it would then enter the date/time/user/anomaly description into a data log e.g. csv file stored on a usb memory stick on the HMI. I'm struggling to find out if this functionality is possible so it would be really helpful if someone could tell me if it is/isn't possible and if it is possible, then point me in the right direction.
