a pointer within an array in S7-1200

BSALV Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	In S7-1200 (a 1214), i created a DB ("MyData")with several arrays with 100 elements from 1 to 100 (for example "My_Name"), now i want to read one element in such an array. When I try "MyData".My_Name[20] that works, but now I want to compare all elements with a preset value in a loop, so i created an integer within the same DB, "MyData".MyPointer and tried to write that in my FBbetween the [...], but that causes an error. How can youmake it variable between the [...] ???

In V10.5 SP2 of TIA Portal, you need to use the fieldread/fieldwrite to perform that task. There is a FAQ on the use of the fieldread and fieldwrite commands on the S7-1200 support portion of this web site. There are examples in these forums as well. Don't have the threads handy but a google search for fieldread fieldwrite s7-1200 should get you there quickly.
