Hi!

I had a problem displaying the status of a Latching relay in my program, so I created a small program to try and isolate the problem, but without any luck.

I have created a latching relay (B1) which is connected to two pushbuttons (I1 and I2) and one output. (Q1) I have the got a Message text (B2) block where the enable input is inverted to keep it activated at all time. The output is connected to a open connector (X1)

The Message text is just displaying the status of I1, I2, Q1, and B1.

The problem is that when the text display shows the correct status for all signals but not for B1, it just follows the status of I1.

I've tried numerous different ways to work around the problem, but the only I've found is to use a output and display the status of that, so I'm using a output that I don't have (Q5 is the first output on the extension module I don't have)

Even If I found a way around, I find it a bit annoying to not know the reason behind this irregularity.

Running LSC V7.0.30 and LOGO 12/24RC 6ED1 052-1MD00-0BA6

Hi,

Yes, it is correct that I have inverted the I2 input since my stop button is NC. Problem is that when I simulate the program in LSC everything work as it should. It's not before I have downloaded the program to the LOGO itself, the problem appear.

you have to change the properties off the input I2 ,from switch ( make contakt ) to push button
( brake contakt as you said is a stop funcktion NC buton). i see this in the program that you uppload .
take alook in my sample perhaps it will help you.
don forget that in the mesage text is possible to change the displayed function from false to hi
and vise versa no matter what hapens in realin/out .
