Sinamics parameter r0485 (Encoder count value) using in PLC for linear motor movement

ATIP_Group Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi to my lovely experts I have s7 400 system and using the 6 of the Sinamics G120 Cu240S DP-F drives. My encoders are connected directly to the Sinamics drive. Encoders are incremental with zero pulse. My task in system is to regulate motor movement in adjusted length - left-right. So I discovered that with Sinamics G120 is not possible to do it directly in STARTER. So I have read out the parameter "r0485" (CO: Encoder counter value) from the Sinamics to the PLC in DoubleWord data type. Probably that parameter is the same as I can receive from the encoder input card connected to the PLC, if I have connected it on the PLC!? My question is: How to use this DoubleWord counter value in the PLC Logic to make adjusted movements from point A to point B (let say 400mm) then turn back to the zero position (-400mm). Please if you have some expirience with this, or if you have some example how to make control of the motor with encoder counted value, I will be very helpful. Thanks in Advance
