btw the way, when i put back fc 10 ag cntrl that i missed earlier, changing the slave address cause no problem and can recover from error A008 if not the A008 cannot recover like A009

however, changing the slave address have chance to turn error A008 to A009

another thing is, why after i stop the cpu and then warm restart the cpu, the modbus block will not run again, it happen even in the simplest project i created just now 

the a009 happen sometime when i change the slave address or unplug and replug the connection cable

no error or warning when downloading or compiling

*currently i am using the simplest project to do the debugging

is it possible to do a network trace when you change the slave address? Then you could check what telegrams are send and recieved by the PLC.

yes there is monitoring software which is provided by Moxa, it can  monitor the traffic and the information.

Anyhow i change the cable and thing is working quite fine now, the error A009 is rarely rarely occur.

seem like it was a hardware problem, buti will still continue my observation to make sure thing truly ok

ah, found my old project which has multiple modbus block that is working at the same time, each of it is with different id, which is make sense now

i will conclude my problem here

1. identical block is not working because the same id connection cannot be called more than once in cyclic OB

2. the unsolved-able a009 error is due to old CP, i didnt notice this until i read the other manual that mentioned about harware requirement

3. i manage to modify the job list block to fit my need by myself (saving me like 500 euro...zzz), so my multiple RTU slave through RTU to TCP gateway project is very close to success now (unless there is other hidden error)
