Hi,

I want to connect 20 no’s of Modbus Client (Modbus Slave) to each of following CPU on Modbus TCP/IP.

1.       IM 151-8 PN/DP (6ES71518AB010AB0)

2.       CPU 1214C (6ES7214-1HG40-0XB0)

For Modbus RTU we can connect 32 no’s slave device to one master but I don’t know how much client I can able to connect above CPU?

For proper selection CPU which criteria is important.

Thanks for your quick reply. 

Due to my misunderstanding about Client as Slave and Server as Master question was wrongly mention. Actually I want to Connect 20no’s Server (Slave) to Single Client (Master).

Please let me know whether it is possible to connect 20 no’s of Server (Slave) to IM151-8 and S7-1200?

      Thanks for your reply. So I can connect any no.of slave to S7-1200 and IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU but polling  one by one is it right? Also at a same time I can take data from only 8 slave or as per CPU supported to  Max. number of connections (Open IE communication) is it right??
