How do I Download WinCC Flex project to TP177B Mono using a USB/PPI Cable from PC

inisysAfrica Advanced Member Joined: 2/7/2008 Last visit: 9/16/2025 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi All, Need some help I am trying to download my WinCC Flex 2005 Project to a TP177B Mono using a USB/PPI cable. This is what I have done so far. Hardware Connections to power the USB: Profibus bus cable (purple) connected to the CPU 226 port 0 using "piggy back" connector and then connected to HMI port. Both connectors terminated i.e. "on". USB/PPI cable connected to "piggy back" connector on CPU 226. Software Setting: All baud rates set to 187.5 in HMI, Micro/Win "communications", WinCC Flex "Connections", and PG Interface properties- enabled "PPI Advanced" HMI "Transfer Setting" (only Channel 2 available) - "MPI" with all tick boxes as per default. MW "communications" - set up for S7 200 PPI WinCC Flex "Connections" - disabled only "one master". All the manuals i have read all refer to downloading with RS232/PPI Please give me the answer in baby steps because I am obviously missing something other than the hair I have been pulling out. I was hoping to use what I havei.e. a usb/PPI and profibus cable. I manage to get my hands on a RS232/PPI cable and download the program but as you know laptops with a serial port are getting harder and harder to find. Any ideas?
