Mehrnoosh Posts: 102 Rating: (9)	Hi I have a picture window in my graphics which use TagPrefix. I have monitored a structured tag (5 part with text type) in this picture window (by changing TagPrefix, I monitor different tags). I get addressing error for 3 part of structured tag and 2 parts is ok. I have checked values of the whole tag (all 5 parts) out of the picture window in I/O fields and I could read it correctly, but immediately after opening the picture window these 3 parts of my structured tag become invalid, and I get the addressing error for those parts again. I have checked my picture window and its TagPrefix many times and I didn't see any problem there. Please help me to solve this problem. Thank you in advance. Mehrnoosh

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Can you run APDIAG and see if any errors are occurring when you open the PictureWindow? (For APDIAG: C:\Program Files\Siemens\WinCC\uTools\APDIAG Select the menu item Output Window \ Open to view the debug window)

Mehrnoosh Posts: 102 Rating: (9)	Hi I will check it, but earlier I put a application windows(GSC diagnostics)and it didn't show any error. I realised it is addressing error because I/O fields became gray, and when I checked status of the tags in tag managment, I saw it is an addressing error. Thanks Mehrnoosh

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Surely an addressing error would mean that the tag is never read correctly. However you say that displaying the tag in a simple IOField reads the value correctly ?!? Very strange. Rememberyou cannot change a tags address dynamically. So either something very strange is happening with the communication link or the tag prefix is not working as expected. I mentioned APDIAG instead of GSCDiagnostics as this way you see errors when switching between graphics too. Let us know if APDIAG shows anything. salma

Salma Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	· Open APDIAG · Select the menu item Output Window \ Open to view the debug window · In WinCC Runtime open your PictureWindow where the tags are not displayed correctly. Let us know if the Output Window shows any messages.

Mehrnoosh Posts: 102 Rating: (9)	Dear Salma I have found the problem and now every thing is ok[;)]. The problem was the length of the datablock. The address of one tag was the last byte of datablock. I just add 10 bytes at the end of the datablock, and now it is ok. But I don't know why it was ok with simple I/O field. Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. Mehrnoosh
