WinCC technical enhancements/ newer version

Waterboy Posts: 85 Rating: (6)	Hello everybody, I was wondering that if it is possible to convey your suggestions/improvements and shortcomings in the WinCC to the WinCC development team? No doubt WinCC is a good product but it can be made even more feature rich and user friendly if the user suggestions are taken into account. A typical problem I faced was I was not able to draw a 'dotted/ dashed line' with 'line weight' = 1. Anyone know how to do that? Cheers.

You could raise them through a support request to the technical team. If they don't have a solution you can ask them to change the SR into a Change Request. After a while you will get a reply stating if it will be taken into account for a future release. Waterboy Posts: 85 Rating: (6)	Thanks for your reply. I guess there is some confusrion. WinCC has Zoom in\out feature but I guess it does not tell you in percentage (100 % for that matter). Secondly I tried it with Line Weight = 1 and the whole screen visible i.e. 100 % zoom not more that that....still it showed up as straight line. I am using 17 inch monitor, resolution is 1024 X 768 ....in case you need this information. Cheers.

Within Graphic Designer open "View" -> "Toolbars" and select "Zoom". Now you have a zoom toolbar that tells you the percentage. What is it stating? 2.If you open the picture in runtime, is it then still a solid line? 3. Which version of wincc are you using? With Regards, Ikkezelf

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, I found the problem [:D] It's a wincc issue. And it's solved in hotfix 2. Meaning you need to install at least hotfix 2 for wincc V6.0 SP2. Order free of charges from your local siemens/wincc supplier. a note from the hotfix 2 documentation: *With installation of the hotfix 2 the following problems are solved:* - Graphics RT: display of lines with weight 1 is fixed With regards, Ikkezelf
