You can check connection of transducer and if there everything is OK. try with start new setup procedure (calibration). Use for this Milltronics MultiRanger 100/200 - Instruction Manual (page 231). regards

If this is the case then I have the following suggestions: - Check if the sensor is not screwed too tight in its socket (a plastic socket is always better than metal). Signal-to-noise ratiodecreases when the sensor is not acoustically isolated. - Has the tank a conicalor parabolic bottom? P006 should be the real distance from sensorface to the deepest point of the bottom! Even if you do not want to measure this part of the tank. - Has the tank a conical or parabolic bottom and is the sensor mounted near the side wallof the tank? Possibly there's no reflection of the sloped bottom, and the multiranger searches now for the first echo that's in range. With sloped bottoms, there's a change that there is an indirect reflection, which can be used for reliable zero indication. With P801 you can increase the measurement rangeto e.g. 50%, maybe you have an echo now. think of billiards. The transmitted signal bounces to the sloped bottom, bounces horizontally to the other side of the bottom, and bounces back to the sensor. The signal has travelled now a longer way than direct down > up. That's why P801 can solve your problem. If the problem still exists, please describe your application more detailed. Remember, among all ultrasonic devices on the market, with the Multiranger you really have the best choice and most versatile in signal tweaking! Software to display the echo profile would also help you a lot. You can use simatic PDM or dolphin plus for this. best regards, SonicRanger.
