I understand there was a Micro Automation Set 29 that dealt with something similar but it does not appear to be available for download again.

does anyone have the files, especially the logo soft program files?

If you have a generator, certanly it must have a control panel and probably a circuit to monitor the public power to start automatically in case of fault.

In addition, you need a double switches that work mechanical and eletricaly interlocked. The switching must be controled by the generator monitor circuit. 

To use a LOGO no more than 6 blocks is needed to do this, but I really don't recommend for this case. The generator provider has to give you support.

Thanks guys, I have support from the generator manufaturers and there is already a manual changeover switch. What I am looking to do is use the Logo 8 to automate it. I also want to extend it to allow control and monitoring via wifi and sms. Where I live, the public supply is horrible and I think there might be a market in automating for the local market.

I have built the panel with an analog timer, I want to build one that is fully controlled with logo. I have no problem with the panel build or wiring, I am new to logo and just getting used to the software. Any help would be appreciated that is why I was looking for the Micro Set 29 example and build on from there

For your first requirement:

See attachment. Suggestion for automatic operation. And any worker can starts the generator manually. You must have a nobreak for Logo and It is recommendable to use a three fase voltage monitor for PPS, because you certanly have all types of fault. And so I am considering both switches have coils.

For your second requirement:

You need a internet connection, and the Logo App installed in your cell phone. With these, only settings will be necessary.
